The Mental Floss History of the World, by Erik Sass and Steve Wiegand, is looking to become a very good book and a new personal favourite. It takes a new approach to history, giving facts and information in a slightly comical and even action-packed perspective. It makes you want to have been there; this book makes history interesting! Of course it has some very serious points, even some devastatingly sad snippets, but overall it is a wonderfully inspiring and enlightening book. I picked up this little companion at my college campus shop; it was 50% off and seems well worth the purchase.
In other news, I havent seen any more optical timestamps and Im pretty sure thats a good thing! Ive got a few assignments and projects to work on for the next few weeks as my first semester comes to a close, but I have to say the trip has been great and I look forward to the next semester.

I've also had a rum and coke a little earlier, and it was very good.
